What is negligent security?

Return to Videos & FAQS

Transcript:

Negligent security is where a property owner fails to maintain their property in a reasonably safe condition to prevent their occupants or guests from being the victims of violent crime usually. That can be a dim parking lot with lights that are out, holes in a fence, failing to have a security guard on the property when they know that the property has had prior criminal events occur on the property. Anything of that nature can prove that the property owner had an obligation to provide reasonable security and failed to provide it.
