Do I have to be injured at my workplace to be covered by workers compensation in Florida?

Return to Videos & FAQS

Transcript:

You do not have to be injured at your workplace in order to recover worker’s compensation benefits in the State of Florida. The requirement is that you be injured within the course and scope of your job. Doesn’t mean you’re at the location where you work. You can be running errands for your boss. You can be delivering something, driving on the street. That’s still within your course and scope of your employment and you’re still entitled to worker’s compensation benefits.
