Can a building owner’s violation of a building code ever be used to help me win a Florida trip and fall case?

Return to Videos & FAQS

Absolutely. Any property owner, if they’re in violation of a Building Code and as a result of that violation, you trip and fall on their property and you are injured, you can use the fact that they violated that Code or Statute or even an Ordinance, to help prove negligence by the property owner.
